The effectiveness of dialectical behavior therapy on adherence to treatment and self-caring behavior in patients with coronary heart disease.
Overview
This experimental study examines the impact of dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) on treatment adherence and self-care behaviors in 32 patients with coronary heart disease. Participants were randomly assigned to control or experimental groups, with the latter receiving eight weekly DBT sessions. The authors report that the intervention group showed significantly greater improvements in both adherence and self-care compared to the control group.
