Comparing the Effectiveness of group Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy on Self-Esteem, Cognitive-Emotional Regulation and Non-Suicidal Self-Injury in daughters
Overview
This quasi-experimental study compares the effects of group Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) on self-esteem, cognitive-emotion regulation, and non-suicidal self-injury among 45 junior high school students with a history of self-injury. The research involved two experimental groups and a control group, utilizing standardized questionnaires to measure outcomes before and after the interventions. Results indicated that DBT was significantly more effective than SFBT in reducing self-injury behavior and improving cognitive emotion regulation, while no significant difference was found between the therapies regarding self-esteem.
