The Effectiveness of Emotion Regulation Skill Training Based on Dialectical Behavioral Therapy on Cognitive Emotion Regulation and Quality of Life of Patients With Cardiovascular Diseases
Overview
This quasi-experimental study examines the impact of an eight-session dialectical behavior therapy-based emotion regulation intervention on cognitive emotion regulation and quality of life in 30 Iranian patients with cardiovascular diseases. The research compares outcomes between an experimental group receiving the training and a control group, utilizing standardized questionnaires for data collection. The authors conclude that the intervention significantly improved positive cognitive-emotional strategies and quality of life while reducing negative strategies, suggesting its potential utility as a complementary therapy.
