Effect of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction on the Well-Being, Burnout and Stress of Italian Healthcare Professionals during the COVID-19 Pandemic
Overview
This study evaluates the impact of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) on well-being, stress, and burnout among Italian healthcare professionals during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research measures changes in distress levels and fear of infection before and after MBSR training, noting that while overall distress decreased, depersonalization increased in one group. The authors suggest MBSR may be a useful strategy for supporting the psycho-emotional status of healthcare workers during emergencies.
