Long-term effectiveness of cognitive behavioral therapy for youth with anxiety disorders
Overview
This paper examines the long-term effectiveness of individual and group cognitive behavioral therapy for youth with anxiety disorders treated in community mental health clinics. The study evaluated outcomes for 139 participants approximately four years after treatment, assessing diagnosis loss and symptom reduction. It reports that recovery rates were similar to those seen in efficacy trials, with no significant difference between the two delivery methods.
