Computer-Assisted Cognitive-Behavior Therapy for Depression
Overview
This systematic review evaluates the efficacy of computer-assisted cognitive-behavior therapy (CCBT) for major depressive disorder by analyzing 40 randomized controlled trials published through July 2016. The resource is primarily intended for researchers and clinicians interested in digital mental health interventions, comparing outcomes between supported and self-guided formats. It reports that CCBT with clinician support yields moderately large effects on depressive symptoms, whereas self-guided versions show considerably lower effectiveness.
