Assess the Role of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in Improvement of Pain and Quality of Life in Patients with Chronic Low Backache
Overview
This paper compares the effectiveness of adding psychological counseling to standard medical care versus standard care alone for patients with chronic low back pain. The study measures improvements in pain, disability, quality of life, and anxiety/depression using standardized scales at 6 and 12 weeks. Results indicate that the group receiving additional counseling showed greater improvement across all measured outcomes compared to the control group.
