Trauma-Integrated Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention for Women with Comorbid Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Substance Use Disorder: A Cluster Randomized Controlled Feasibility and Acceptability Trial
Overview
This study evaluates the feasibility and acceptability of Trauma-Integrated Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention (TI-MBRP) for women with comorbid PTSD and substance use disorder. The trial compared TI-MBRP against standard MBRP, finding both interventions acceptable but noting high attrition rates in the integrated group. Results indicated significant symptom reductions over 12 months for both conditions, with standard MBRP showing greater PTSD reduction at early follow-ups.
