Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction for Posttraumatic Stress Symptoms
Overview
This pilot study investigates whether group mindfulness-based stress reduction therapy reduces posttraumatic stress symptoms, depression, and negative trauma-related appraisals in nine adults with trauma exposure. The resource details an 8-week intervention with assessments at pretreatment, midtreatment, and posttreatment stages. It reports observed reductions in symptoms and shame-based appraisals alongside increased acceptance of emotional experiences among participants.
