Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Among Veterans
Overview
This randomized clinical trial compares Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction with present-centered group therapy for treating PTSD among 116 veterans. The study evaluates changes in self-reported and clinician-assessed symptom severity, as well as depressive symptoms and quality of life, over the course of treatment and at follow-up. It is designed for researchers and clinicians interested in comparative outcomes of mindfulness interventions versus active control conditions in veteran populations.
