The effect of mindfulness‐based stress reduction on maternal anxiety and self‐efficacy: A randomized controlled trial
Overview
This randomized controlled trial examines the impact of a six-session Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program on anxiety and self-efficacy in 70 pregnant women in Iran. The study reports that MBSR significantly reduced pregnancy-related anxiety compared to a control group receiving routine care. However, the intervention did not result in a significant change in self-efficacy regarding coping with childbirth. The resource is intended for readers interested in clinical research outcomes regarding maternal mental health interventions.
