The Effectiveness of Group Acceptance and Commitment Therapy on Emotion Regulation in Methamphetamine-Dependent Individuals Undergoing Rehabilitation
Overview
This quasi-experimental study evaluates the impact of group acceptance and commitment therapy on emotion regulation among methamphetamine-dependent individuals in rehabilitation. The research involved a pretest-posttest design with a control group, utilizing Gratz and Roemer’s difficulties in emotion regulation scale to measure outcomes. Results indicate that the eight-session intervention significantly reduced specific dimensions of emotion regulation difficulties, though it did not significantly affect emotional awareness or clarity.
