Effects of Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention Therapy on Drug Craving and Emotion Regulation of Therapeutic Community Centers Clients
Overview
This quasi-experimental study examines the impact of Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention (MBRP) on drug craving and emotion regulation among clients in therapeutic community centers in Iran. The research involved 40 participants with stimulant-related issues, comparing an experimental group receiving eight MBRP sessions against a control group on a waiting list. Results indicated that MBRP significantly reduced drug cravings and improved emotion regulation compared to the control condition.
