The Effectiveness of Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention on Chinese Methamphetamine Dependent Patients: A Pilot Study
Overview
This pilot study evaluates the impact of a 16-session mindfulness-based relapse prevention program on methamphetamine-dependent patients within Chinese compulsory isolation detoxification centers. The research involved forty-one participants and assessed outcomes at baseline, four weeks, and eight weeks post-intervention. Results indicated no significant effects on emotions or cravings, leading the authors to suggest that further modifications are needed before firm conclusions can be drawn regarding the intervention's suitability for this specific setting.
