Effectiveness of Mindfulness-based Relapse Prevention on Quality of Life and Craving in Methadone-treated Patients: A Randomized Clinical Trial.
Overview
This randomized clinical trial investigates the impact of Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention (MBRP) on quality of life and craving among 70 methadone-treated patients in Iran. The study compares an intervention group receiving eight MBRP sessions against a control group, measuring outcomes using the SF-36 and Craving Beliefs Questionnaire at pre-test, post-test, and follow-up stages. Results indicate that MBRP significantly improved quality of life scores and reduced craving levels compared to the control condition.
