Effect of Acceptance and Commitment Group Therapy on Cognitive Flexibility, Suicidal Ideation, Depression, and Hopelessness in Conscripts
Overview
This clinical trial examines the impact of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) group sessions on cognitive flexibility, suicidal ideation, depression, and hopelessness among 60 military conscripts. The study compares outcomes between an intervention group receiving eight weekly ACT sessions and a control group receiving no treatment. Results indicate that the therapy was associated with increased cognitive flexibility and reduced symptoms of depression, suicidal thoughts, and hopelessness.
