Effects of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy on Psychological Acceptance, Psychological Well-being, Depression and Suicidal Ideation of Depressed College students
Overview
This study examines the effects of an eight-session acceptance and commitment therapy group program on psychological acceptance, well-being, depression, and suicidal ideation in depressed college students. The research involved nine participants in the treatment group and nine in a comparison group, with pre- and post-intervention assessments conducted for both. Results indicated significant improvements in acceptance and well-being, along with reductions in depression and suicidal thoughts, among those receiving the therapy compared to the control group.
