On the Association Between Mindfulness and Romantic Relationship Satisfaction: the Role of Partner Acceptance
Overview
This paper investigates the link between trait mindfulness and romantic relationship satisfaction, focusing on the mediating role of partner acceptance across three studies involving MTurk participants and mindfulness course attendees. The authors report that mindfulness is associated with greater partner acceptance, which in turn relates to higher relationship satisfaction for both individuals and their partners. The resource is primarily intended for researchers or clinicians interested in the mechanisms underlying mindfulness-based interventions in couples.
