Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia in Postpartum Depression: A Meta-Analysis of Therapeutic Outcomes and Barriers to Clinical Use
Overview
This meta-analysis evaluates the effects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) on insomnia severity, postpartum depression, and total sleep time in perinatal women. The review includes four randomized controlled trials with a combined sample size of 381 participants to assess therapeutic outcomes and barriers to clinical use. Results indicate that CBT-I significantly reduces insomnia severity and improves total sleep time, while showing borderline significant effects on postpartum depression scores.
