Efficacy of internet-delivered cognitive-behavioral therapy for insomnia – A systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials
Overview
This systematic review and meta-analysis evaluates the efficacy of internet-delivered cognitive-behavioral therapy for insomnia (eCBT-I) by synthesizing data from eleven randomized controlled trials involving 1,460 participants. The resource reports that eCBT-I improves various sleep metrics with effect sizes comparable to face-to-face CBT-I, with benefits generally maintained during follow-up periods of 4 to 48 weeks. It also identifies study characteristics, such as treatment duration and clinical support levels, as factors influencing outcome magnitude.
