Efficacy of Internet and Group-Administered Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia in Adolescents: A Pilot Study
Overview
This pilot study evaluates the feasibility and efficacy of cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-i) delivered to adolescents via group sessions or individual Internet platforms. The research involved twenty-six participants who completed six weekly sessions, with outcomes measured through actigraphy, sleep logs, and questionnaires at baseline, post-treatment, and follow-up. Results indicated significant improvements in sleep metrics for both delivery formats, with no statistically significant differences observed between the group and Internet conditions.
