A randomized waitlist‐controlled trial of cognitive behavior therapy to improve emotion regulation in children with autism
Overview
This randomized controlled trial evaluates a 10-session, transdiagnostic cognitive behavior therapy intervention designed to improve emotion regulation in children with autism spectrum disorder. The study compares outcomes between an immediate treatment group and a waitlist control group using parent, child, and clinician reports. Results indicate that participants receiving the therapy showed significant improvements in emotion regulation and mental health symptoms compared to the control group.
