A metacognitive mediation model of sleep quality: the roles of rumination and anxiety sensitivity in a community sample
Overview
This paper presents a metacognitive mediation model examining how rumination and anxiety sensitivity link metacognitive beliefs to sleep quality in a community sample of 346 Iranian adults. Using structural equation modeling, the authors found that while direct associations were not significant, metacognitive beliefs indirectly predicted poorer sleep through these two mediators. The resource is intended for researchers interested in transdiagnostic cognitive-emotional processes and their statistical relationships with sleep outcomes.
