An Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy (IBCT)-Based Conflict Prevention Program: A Pre-Pilot Study with Non-Clinical Couples
Overview
This pre-pilot study evaluates an Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy (IBCT)-based conflict prevention program for non-clinical couples in Madrid. The research involved six couples, with three receiving five sessions focused on empathic joining and unified detachment while the other three served as a control group. Results indicated that the experimental group showed increased acceptance of differences and relationship satisfaction at post-treatment, with no significant changes observed at the three-year follow-up for either group.
