Effectiveness of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy on the management of depressive disorder: Systematic review
Overview
This systematic review evaluates the effectiveness of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) for managing depressive disorders, drawing on fifteen studies published between 2009 and 2019. The authors report that MBCT is associated with reduced depressive symptoms, lower relapse rates, and improved mindfulness. The resource concludes by suggesting that these findings may assist nurses and mental health practitioners in identifying suitable patient populations for this intervention.
