Mindfulness‐based cognitive therapy for prevention and time to depressive relapse: Systematic review and network meta‐analysis
Overview
This systematic review and network meta-analysis compares the long-term effectiveness of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) against other strategies for preventing depressive relapse. The study synthesizes data from 23 publications, including randomized controlled trials with over 4,000 participants, to assess relapse rates and time to relapse. Results indicate that MBCT is more effective than treatment as usual and placebo in delaying depressive relapse, with no significant differences observed compared to other active treatments.
