Comparing the OurRelationship Program and Bibliotherapy for Parents Experiencing Couple Distress: A Randomized Pilot
Overview
This pilot randomized controlled trial compares an 8-hour web-based couple therapy program adapted from Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy against self-guided bibliotherapy for distressed parenting couples. The study reports significant within-group improvements in relationship and individual functioning for both interventions, with no statistically significant differences between conditions except for specific reductions in communication conflict and relationship negatives favoring the web-based program. The resource is intended for researchers or clinicians interested in the feasibility and comparative outcomes of digital versus bibliographic interventions for couple distress.
