Effects of an Online Acceptance and Commitment Therapy Intervention on Children’s Quality of Life
Overview
This study investigates whether an online Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) intervention for parents indirectly improves the quality of life for their children with type 1 diabetes or functional disabilities. The research analyzes data from 74 adults and their 66 children to assess changes in parental well-being, psychological flexibility, and mindfulness skills. It reports significant indirect effects on both parent-evaluated and child-reported aspects of quality of life, such as family relations and emotional well-being.
