Personality, Coping Strategies, and Mental Health in High-Performance Athletes During Confinement Derived From the COVID-19 Pandemic
Overview
This cross-sectional study examines the mental health, perfectionism, and coping strategies of 310 high-performance athletes during COVID-19 confinement. It analyzes how maladaptive perfectionism correlates with negative emotional states and identifies cognitive restructuring as a useful coping mechanism. The resource is relevant for researchers and clinicians interested in sports psychology and the psychological impact of pandemic-related disruptions on athletic populations.
