Health anxiety, perceived stress, and coping styles in the shadow of the COVID-19
Overview
This cross-sectional study examines the relationships between health anxiety, perceived stress, and coping styles among 1,289 university students during the COVID-19 lockdown in Hungary. The research compares domestic and international students, as well as gender differences, utilizing standardized scales for stress, health anxiety, and coping mechanisms. Findings indicate that international students and females reported higher levels of these variables, with specific coping strategies like wishful thinking or cognitive restructuring correlating differently based on student status and gender.
