Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy for Perinatal Women with Depression or Bipolar Spectrum Disorder
Overview
This paper reports on a feasibility study of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) for 39 perinatal women with a history of major depressive disorder or bipolar spectrum disorder. The uncontrolled trial assessed the program's acceptability and symptom changes over six months, finding that participants with MDD showed average depression improvements while those with bipolar spectrum disorder did not. The resource is intended for researchers and clinicians interested in perinatal mental health interventions.
