Acceptance and Commitment Therapy Preceded by Attention Bias Modification on Residual Symptoms in Depression: A 12-Month Follow-Up
Overview
This study examines the long-term effects of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) on residual depressive symptoms in individuals previously in remission. Participants received either Attention Bias Modification or a control condition before undergoing an 8-week group-based ACT intervention. Results indicate that ACT significantly reduced depressive symptoms over a 12-month follow-up period, with no additional benefits observed from preceding the therapy with Attention Bias Modification.
