Effectiveness of acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) on emotional regulation and loneliness of divorced women in Iran
Overview
This study investigates the impact of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) on emotional regulation and loneliness among 30 divorced women in Iran. Using a pretest-posttest control group design, researchers administered eight 90-minute ACT sessions to an experimental group while measuring outcomes with the ERQ and UCLA Loneliness Scale. The results indicate that the intervention significantly improved adaptive emotional regulation and reduced feelings of loneliness compared to the control group.
