The Effectiveness of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy on Marital Burnout and Self-Compassion in Unsupervised Women under the Cover of NGOs of Tehran
Overview
This quasi-experimental study evaluates the impact of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) on marital burnout and self-compassion among 30 unsupervised women in Tehran. Participants were divided into experimental and control groups, with the former receiving eight sessions of ACT while the latter received no intervention. The authors report significant differences between groups post-intervention, concluding that ACT may reduce marital burnout and increase self-compassion in this population.
