Acceptance and Commitment Training for Ice Hockey Players: A Randomized Controlled Trial
Overview
This randomized controlled trial examines an Acceptance and Commitment Training intervention for 34 junior elite ice hockey players compared to a wait list control group. The study reports significant improvements in objective performance metrics and blinded coach ratings for the ACT group, with some effects persisting at a three-month follow-up. The resource is intended for researchers and clinicians interested in psychological interventions within sports psychology.
