Efficacy of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy Compared to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy on Anger and Interpersonal Relationships of Male Students
Overview
This study compares the efficacy of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) on anger and interpersonal relationships among male university students. The research involved a randomized controlled trial with 30 participants who scored high on an aggression questionnaire, divided into ACT and CBT groups. Results indicated that both interventions significantly reduced anger and improved interpersonal relationship subscales, with ACT showing greater reductions in anger compared to CBT, while both therapies were equally effective for interpersonal issues.
