Comparison of Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in Reducing Depression symptoms and Increasing Happiness of Iranian adolescent Girl Students
Overview
This 2017-2018 quasi-experimental study compares Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for reducing depression and increasing happiness among 45 Iranian adolescent girls. The research involved three groups of participants assessed via pre-test, post-test, and control designs using standard psychological inventories. Results indicate that while both interventions were effective, ACT demonstrated a greater influence on improving outcomes compared to CBT.
