Exploring the sustained impact of the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program: a thematic analysis
Overview
This qualitative study examines the long-term effects of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) through semi-structured interviews with 45 participants at three, twelve, and thirty-six months post-completion. The thematic analysis identifies how benefits evolve from immediate stress reduction to sustained lifestyle changes, compassion, and personal growth over time. It also outlines the barriers and facilitators that influence participants' ability to maintain their mindfulness practice across these different periods.
