Comparison of the Effectiveness of Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy and Self-compassion-based Therapy On Emotion Regulation In Women Affected by Infidelity
Overview
This quasi-experimental study compares the effectiveness of Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy and Self-compassion-based Therapy on emotion regulation in women affected by marital infidelity. The research involved 20 couples who underwent 16 weekly sessions, with outcomes measured using the Granfsky emotion regulation questionnaire. Results indicated that both therapeutic approaches significantly improved emotion regulation without showing a statistically significant difference between them.
