Development and Effectiveness of Humanities-Based Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Adolescents With Problematic Gaming Behavior
Overview
This study evaluates a humanities-based cognitive behavioral therapy program designed for adolescents aged 11–15 with problematic gaming behavior, comparing its effects against supportive therapy. The research measures changes in symptoms related to Internet gaming disorder, anxiety, depression, and ADHD before and after the intervention. Results indicate significant reductions in IGD and anxiety scores for the intervention group compared to controls, suggesting potential benefits for these specific symptoms.
