Culturally adapted digital cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia in South Korea – a double-blind randomized controlled trial☆
Overview
This double-blind randomized controlled trial compares culturally adapted digital cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (dCBT-I) against a patient education application in South Korea. The study evaluates outcomes including insomnia severity, sleep quality, and maladaptive beliefs among 52 participants with chronic insomnia. Results indicate that while both groups improved in insomnia severity, the dCBT-I group showed greater gains in sleep quality and belief modification, alongside high adherence rates.
