Effect of traditional yoga, mindfulness–based cognitive therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy, on health related quality of life: a randomized controlled trial on patients on sick leave because of burnout
Overview
This randomized controlled trial compares the impact of traditional yoga, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy on health-related quality of life among patients on sick leave for burnout. The study involved ninety-four primary care participants who completed a 20-week group treatment program with weekly sessions and homework assignments. Results indicated that all three interventions led to significant improvements in various domains such as emotional well-being, physical health, and sleep, with no statistically significant differences observed between the treatment groups.
