Comparative efficacy of behavior therapy, cognitive therapy, and cognitive behavior therapy for chronic insomnia: A randomized controlled trial.
Overview
This randomized controlled trial compares the efficacy of behavior therapy, cognitive therapy, and their combination for chronic insomnia in 188 adults. The study reports that while full CBT yielded the highest response rates, behavior therapy produced faster initial improvements and cognitive therapy resulted in slower but more sustained gains over time. The resource is intended for researchers or clinicians interested in the differential trajectories of these therapeutic approaches.
