The effectiveness of interventions designed to enhance and maintain medical student wellbeing: a systematic review
Overview
This systematic review synthesizes evidence from 33 studies regarding interventions aimed at improving the psychological well-being of medical students. It identifies mindfulness-based programs, particularly those combined with cognitive behavioral therapy, as well as positive psychology and exercise initiatives, as effective strategies for managing stress and anxiety. The resource notes that online formats and voluntary participation are associated with better outcomes, while mentoring and health education showed limited effectiveness.
